The fabled pink and white terraces of New Zealand's geothermal region Rotorua, a popular tourist attraction due to the vibrant hues of pink within the silica deposits. Unfortunately lost to the volcanic eruption of Mt Tarawera in 1886, old photos and paintings now stand in tribute to this eighth wonder of the world, depicted here in a serene and contemplative mood.
